Land and Estate Ltd is owned by Richard Seaman MRICS, who co-founded the company in 2010. Richard is a Chartered Surveyor, achieving qualification, having attended the Royal Agricultural University in 1990. Richard has a long and varied experience in rural property having spent the first 20 years of his career working with some of the most prestigious estates throughout the United Kingdom. Land and Estate Ltd (formerly Goldsmith & Co Estates Ltd) provides a discreet but comprehensive array of services to landowners and clients wishing to buy, sell and manage property in Scotland. We have wide experience of dealing with estate management in its entirety from day-to-day management to purchase and sales of land and property, renewables, sporting, dispute resolution and employment issues, all of which which we aim to deal with in a discreet and expedient way. We are a small company and we take pride in giving our clients a very personal service. We are specialists in off market property sales and are uniquely placed to value upland estates as we understand and actually operate within the emerging carbon and environmental goods /services markets through our sister company Land Carbon Ltd which specialises in peatland restoration/carbon credit origination.

Richard’s roots are in agriculture having grown up on family farms in East Anglia and Scotland. He trained at the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester and has managed estates throughout the British Isles for private clients. Richard co-founded the company in 2010 and now specialises in estate acquisitions/sales and management, renewable energy, woodland /peatland carbon credit origination.
